The International Conference on Recent Advancements in Computing in AI, IoT and Computer Engineering Technology (CICET 2026)
Open-Source IT Strategies and Solutions for AI- and VR-Supported Immersive Learning
The International Conference on Recent Advancements in Computing in AI, IoT and Computer Engineering Technology (CICET 2026) aims to create a vibrant interdisciplinary meeting space where researchers in software and hardware engineering, computer science, educational technologies, and related fields engage with educators, practitioners, and industry professionals to exchange ideas, share innovations, and foster meaningful collaborations. CICET 2026 will take place at The Tamkang University, Taipei, Taiwan, on 27th – 29th May 2026.
In 2026, CICET is pleased to launch a new Educational Technologies Track, organised and curated by Huyixiang Community for Impact in Responsible Research in Digital Learning Innovation (“Huyi Community”), a community of practice dedicated to advancing responsible, open, and impact-driven digital learning innovation. Through this track, Huyixiang brings its extensive international network of educators, early-career researchers, EdTech innovators, technologists, and industry partners to the CICET conference.
Track Focus and Objectives
The Educational Technologies Track is centred on the special theme “Open-source IT strategies and solutions for AI- and VR-supported immersive learning.” It responds to the growing demand for transparent, scalable, and ethically grounded digital learning ecosystems that combine pedagogical innovation with technological openness.
The track aims to:
Provide a platform for hands-on, developmental, and practice-based research in educational technologies
Showcase open-source, AI-, and VR-enabled learning prototypes and applied research
Foster dialogue between academia, EdTech communities, and industry practitioners
Support early-career researchers and educators seeking to translate research into real-world impact
About the Track Organiser: Huyi Community
The Huyi Community is a non-profit, community-driven initiative run by Huyixiang, designed to support educators and researchers who seek to make a tangible social and educational impact through digital learning innovation. The community offers a space for mentorship, collaboration, and knowledge exchange, connecting members with EdTech companies, technologists, universities, and global research networks.
Its mission is to create the right conditions for innovation, give legitimacy to applied and developmental research approaches, and strengthen the societal relevance of digital learning research. The Educational Technologies Track at CICET 2026 reflects this mission by valuing both scholarly rigor and practical relevance.
Scope of Contributions
Submissions may include, but are not limited to, the following topics:
Open-source architectures for AI- and VR-supported learning environments
Immersive learning design frameworks integrating LMS, AI, and XR technologies
Generative AI and pedagogical co-pilots for dialogic, project-based, or experiential learning
VR/AR/MR applications in higher education, professional training, and lifelong learning
Community-driven innovation and open-source strategies in EdTech
Ethical, inclusive, and sustainable approaches to AI-enhanced learning systems
